Greer High School’s Landon Smith is the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by D&D Motors.

Voting opened Monday and remained open until noon on Wednesday. Voters were able to cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.

Smith captured second place in his weight class in last weekend's Class 4-A Upper State Championships, earning a berth in this weekend's 4-A State Championships in Florence.

Nominees for the week of Feb. 8-14 included Smith, Bennett Brame of Eastside and Cienna Heiselman of Byrnes. 

The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week is a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2025-2026 school year. Athletes from Greer, Byrnes, Riverside, Eastside, Greer Middle College, and Blue Ridge are eligible.
