AFL announced a $4.5 million contribution to The AFL Foundation, bringing the foundation’s total investment to $14.5 million since the launch in 2024.
Established to mark AFL's 40th anniversary, the foundation formalizes a long-standing tradition of supporting community engagement. In the first year, the foundation awarded its inaugural grant to the Middle Tyger Community Center, providing $1 million to help expand family and mental health services.
“When we created The AFL Foundation, we made a commitment to shape the next 40 years and beyond,” Jaxon Lang, AFL president and CEO said. “This contribution strengthens that promise by expanding what’s possible and ensuring we can continue responding meaningfully in our communities.”
AFL has long supported communities through disaster relief, volunteer initiatives, scholarships and hundreds of grants and sponsorships — directing more than $1.1 million to organizations in the three years prior to the foundation's launch, while associates logged more than 6,000 volunteer hours. AFL Foundation funds are invested through the Spartanburg County Foundation, which serves as the foundation’s nonprofit fiduciary.

"This investment allows us to do that at a scale that can truly move the needle."
