A Summer Full of Arts and Culture
Young learners can enjoy Stories & Adventures, held Tuesday mornings from June 2 through July 14 from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at the Edward R. Driggers Center for the Arts. This engaging program combines storytelling, imagination, and interactive activities for children and families.
For aspiring artists and performers, the popular Arts in Action Camps return July 20-23 and July 27-30. These camps offer hands-on experiences in both visual and performing arts while encouraging creativity and self-expression. More information is available at GreerCulturalArts.com/camp.
Sports Opportunities for Every Age
Youth athletics continue to thrive throughout Greer during the summer months.
The Greer 76ers Summer Rugby Program provides a unique opportunity for young athletes to learn one of the world's fastest-growing sports every Tuesday and Thursday in June and July. Designed for beginners and experienced players alike, the program includes:
· Ages 7-10: Flag Rugby
· Ages 11-14: Touch Rugby

For those interested in precision sports, youth archery classes and lessons are available throughout the summer at Greer City Stadium. In addition, an archery summer camp will be held July 28-31. Registration and program information can be found at UpstateArcheryAcademy.com.
Have a child interested in Golf? Greer Golf will once again welcome First Tee- Upstate South Carolina for a full schedule of youth programming. First Tee is part of a national youth development program that uses golf to teach skills such as goal setting, teamwork and good judgment. The program serves kids and teens ages 7 to 18, with instruction divided into age-based groups. Five-day summer sessions at Greer Golf are scheduled June 15–19 and July 20–24. Meanwhile, Greer's youth baseball talent will be on display across South Carolina as the Greer Baseball Club All-Star teams compete in district and state championship tournaments. Many of these athletes will pursue the ultimate goal of earning a spot in the Diamond Youth Baseball World Series, representing Greer on a regional and national stage.
Family Entertainment Throughout the Summer
Nothing says summer like a night under the stars. Families can gather at Greer City Park for Moonlight Movies, held on select Thursday evenings beginning June 4. These free outdoor movie nights have become a favorite tradition for residents of all ages.
Another exciting family activity is Park-Hop, a summer-long scavenger hunt that encourages children and families to explore parks throughout Greenville and Spartanburg counties. Baseball fans can also enjoy the excitement of American Legion Baseball at Stevens Field throughout the summer. These games offer affordable family entertainment while showcasing some of the area's top high school and collegiate talent.
Celebrate Freedom Blast
One of Greer's premier summer events returns on June 27 with the annual Freedom Blast Festival at Greer City Park from 6:00–10:30 p.m.
This community celebration honors our veterans and active military while providing an evening packed with entertainment, including:
