Aaron Fields

Dunlap Media Group has welcomed a new member to its team, bringing on Aaron Fields to fill the new role of Digital Media Director.

Fields, a native of Clemson, South Carolina, joins Dunlap Media with several years of experience in broadcast journalism, video production and digital marketing. He earned his degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina before entering the field as a morning reporter for KX News in North Dakota.

Fields later moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he worked as a morning news reporter for WKRG News 5. Eventually, he made his way back to South Carolina, where he shifted his focus toward digital marketing.

Now with Dunlap Media, Fields says he is looking forward to getting back to his roots in storytelling while helping grow the company’s digital presence.

“I can’t wait to get back engaged with the community, start using that news voice again, hear people’s stories, and share them in a way that might not follow a typical newsroom flow, but still puts a smile on people’s faces,” Fields said.

In his new role, Fields will help broaden the reach of Dunlap Media’s outlets by strengthening video content and social media presence. Dunlap Media’s CEO Bailey Dunlap says that, as the company continues to grow, the team hopes to find new and creative ways to get content to its readers.

“Aaron brings a strong understanding of digital storytelling and content creation that will help us take our social media presence to another level,” Dunlap said. “We want our platforms to not only deliver news, but also celebrate the businesses, events and everyday moments that make our communities unique.”
