The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), the primary economic development agency in Greenville County, reports that it secured $725 million in new investments from nine organizations in 2025. These companies will provide 1,293 new job opportunities for Greenville County residents.
Greenville County’s 2025 investments represent 8% of the State of South Carolina’s $9.15 billion in capital investments, and 16% of its 8,100 new jobs.
The GADC’s mission is to improve the quality of life of every Greenville County citizen by facilitating investment and job growth from new and existing companies.
“Greenville County is intentionally selective in recruiting companies that offer higher-wage job opportunities for our residents, and we provide existing businesses with resources to retain and recruit top local talent so they continue to grow, right here in our county,” Benton Blount, Greenville County Council chairman said. “We are proud of our 2025 results, creating 1,293 new job opportunities.”
Of the nine wins in 2025:
56% were national
44% were international, sourced from four countries: Israel, Japan, Germany, and Canada
89% were in the GADC’s target industries of Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Aerospace, Life Sciences, Mobility, and Professional and Technology Services
56% involved existing companies within the county
44% represented new companies that established a presence in the county
“The benefit of recruiting companies to Greenville County is that they contribute a significant portion of the taxes to fund essential government services, such as roads, schools and emergency services,” Max Stewart, CEO of the GADC said. “Their investment helps to raise the quality of life for each of our residents.”
