Greer Commission of Public Works (Greer CPW) will host a community blood drive on June 4 in Greer and June 6 in Landrum, encouraging residents to help save lives while supporting families in need.
These drives are part of the organization’s ongoing partnership with The Blood Connection and carries added significance following an employee’s child who was born with a heart condition in December 2025.
“We want to do our part to support staff and their families,” Alison Rauch, public information coordinator, said. “Our hope is that we can be a blessing to the next patient who needs blood during surgery.”
In addition to helping meet critical blood supply needs, the drives will also benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Charleston.
For every 30 donors who participate per drive, The Blood Connection will donate $500 to the nonprofit, which provides housing and support for families with children undergoing medical treatment. Community members are encouraged to donate and make a meaningful impact – both by helping patients in need of blood and by supporting families during challenging times.
As a thank you, blood donors will receive $30 in eGift cards from The Blood Connection.
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 4, Greer CPW will host the blood drive at 301 McCall St., Greer.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 6, Greer CPW will host the blood drive at Bible Baptist Church, 330 West Finger St., Landrum.
