One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Greer on Thursday morning, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
At approximately 9:45 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the intersection of West Wade Hampton Boulevard and North Main Street in Greer in reference to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, responders located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway. The victim was confirmed deceased and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Coroner’s Office responded to the incident location and identified the decedent as Cameron Kreswell Neely, 57, of Greer. According to the Coroner's Office, Neely died as a result of blunt force injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident.
This incident remains under active investigation by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the Greer Police Department.
