Whether you need to get out of the house for a night on Trade Street, or your kids have already been pestering you to wear their Halloween costumes outside, the Upstate has plenty of activities to keep your family entertained. Here’s a guide to some events happening this weekend, including karaoke and a Halloween event at Sassy Stables. 

Karaoke at The Mason Jar | Friday, Oct. 10, 8 p.m.

  • The Mason Jar has its karaoke nights every Friday. Come out with your friends for a night of fun songs and good food on Trade Street.

Lyman Farmers Market | Saturday, Oct. 11, 9 a.m.

  • Only two markets are left for the Lyman Farmers Market season. Come out to the First Baptist Church of Lyman (80 Groce Rd) to support local farmers.

Sassy Stables Spooktacular | Saturday, Oct. 11, 1 p.m.

  • Sassy Stables is holding its sixth annual Spooktacular, including costumed horseback rides, pumpkin decorating and more. Tickets are $27 for one child and two adults, and include one horse ride and one small pumpkin to decorate. Tickets are only available online.

Haunted Night Market at As the Page Turns | Saturday, Oct. 11, 4-8 p.m.

  • If you went to the Summer Farmers Market series, you might remember Petals Tea Shop. This Saturday, they will be in Travelers Rest at As the Page Turns book store (32 S Main St), alongside other vendors, with book-inspired tea blends. Costumes are welcome.
