After last week’s weather postponement, the City of Fountain Inn will officially kick off the 2026 Sounds of Summer concert series on Friday, May 29, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. in downtown Fountain Inn with live music from rising Upstate country artist Kendall Lanford.
Sounds of Summer brings the community together for evenings filled with live music, food, shopping, and fun for all ages in the heart of downtown Fountain Inn. Community members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, gather with friends and family, and enjoy a summer night under the lights while supporting local restaurants and businesses throughout downtown.
Originally from nearby Greer, Kendall Lanford has become a familiar name across the Upstate music scene, performing at popular events including Music on Main, Fall for Greenville, Downtown Alive, Tunes in the Park, and Celebrate Anderson. Known for her energetic performances, strong vocals, and authentic Southern charm, Lanford performs a mix of modern and classic country favorites while continuing to grow her original music career following the release of her debut single, “Slow,” in 2025.
Downtown restaurants and shops will be open throughout the evening, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy dinner, shopping, and live entertainment all in one place.
The Sounds of Summer concert series is free to attend and continues throughout the summer in downtown Fountain Inn.
