Prisma Health has appointed Steve LeBlond as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Digital Officer. In this role, LeBlond will lead the organization’s technology strategy, focusing on digital transformation, artificial intelligence adoption and innovation to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

“I’m excited to join Prisma Health and lead efforts that harness technology and AI to improve patient care, streamline operations and create innovative solutions for the communities we care for. We are looking forward to serving the community in South Carolina,” LeBlond said.

The former vice president and chief operating officer at Sutter Health has more than two decades of experience in healthcare technology leadership, including executive roles at Sutter Health and Ochsner Health. He has a proven track record of aligning technology investments with enterprise objectives, improving operational resilience and advancing patient safety.

LeBlond’s career began after military service, progressing through telecommunications and networking roles with AT&T in San Francisco. He holds an MBA from the State University of New York and professional certifications including PMP, CISSP, and CRISC. He is also an Amazon Web Services – Health Management Academy Technology Fellow, focusing on analytics, AI and healthcare digital innovation.

He and his wife, Crystal, have two children and a grandson. They are excited to become part of the South Carolina community.
