One person is dead and another is under arrest following a crash on Wade Hampton Boulevard at Tappan Drive just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Hannah Davidson.
Davidson said a 2025 motorcycle was turning left onto northbound Wade Hampton Boulevard when it collided with a Toyota RAV4 traveling south on Wade Hampton Boulevard. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the RAV4 fled the scene on foot following the crash but was later arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Charges are pending.
The motorcycle driver died at the scene. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Robbin Edward Lollis of Taylors.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
