Between markets and live music performances, there are several ways for Greer families to get out into the community this weekend.

Here’s a look at three free events happening in Greer and Lyman:

Lyman Farmers Market | Saturday, Aug. 15, 9 a.m. to noon

  • The Lyman Farmers Market continues its season on Saturday morning in the First Baptist Church of Lyman parking lot (80 Groce Rd.). This week’s market will feature 22 local vendors.

Tunes in the Park & Greer Idol | Saturday, Aug. 15, 6-9 p.m.

  • Tunes in the Park, a free concert series held in Greer City Park, is returning this weekend with a performance by the Carolina Coast Band. Throughout the evening, contestants in the Greer Idol and Greer Idol Jr. singing competitions will also perform. Residents can vote on their favorite contestants at the event.

Greer Farmers Market | Sunday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • The Greer Farmers Market is continuing its core market season on Sunday at Greer City Park. This week’s theme is Clean Water Appreciation, featuring an informational booth with the Greer Commission of Public Works, water guns and live sea shanties performed by Drop O’ The Pure.
