Greer Farmers Market Stock 1

It’s peak produce season, and several municipalities are hosting farmers markets to get local produce into residents’ hands.

The Greer Farmers Market’s core summer season runs from late April to early October, bringing more than 45 local farmers, makers and bakers to Greer City Park every Sunday. In just the next town over, Lyman is hosting weekly Saturday markets throughout the summer.

Here’s some more information on what attendees can expect this weekend:

Greer Farmers Market: Health Day

The Greer Farmers Market will host its Health Day on Sunday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will emphasize local health resources, including booths from New Horizon Family Health Services and Peace From Pieces.

OneBlood of the Carolinas will be at the market until 1 p.m., offering a $20 eGift Card for blood donors. Attendees can also enjoy new vendors, including JES Farms and Simply Aloha food truck. Live Music will be performed by Chesnee-based singer Carey Leigh.

Lyman Farmers Market: Dog Days of Summer

Come out to the Lyman Event Center at Pacific Place on Saturday for a special market celebrating the town’s furry friends. On July 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Lyman Farmers Market will host Dog Days of Summer with dog-themed vendors.

Due to the heat, this weekend’s market was moved to an indoor venue, and a previously planned dog parade has been cancelled. While attendees will not be able to bring their dogs inside the Lyman Event Center, families can still browse dog-themed booths and pick up some presents for their pooch.
