Barbara Jean “B.J.” Eskew Baldwin, 93, wife of the late Dick Baldwin, of Greer, South Carolina, passed away May 14, 2026.
A native of Greenville County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Hickman Eskew and Mable Dawes Eskew, she was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church Greer. BJ was a selfless, loving, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother; whose main focus was always her family. She was the ultimate Southern Belle always dressed to the nines, including jewelry and lipstick. While her family will miss her terribly, we take solace in the fact she is dancing in heaven with her true love.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Baldwin of Greer and Brad Baldwin (Cathy) of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Elaine B. Hunt and Becky B. Johnson both of Greer; seven grandchildren, Nickie Hart (Tim), Taylor Johnson (Cat), Julia Ross (Hunter), Haley Smith (Devin), Casey Koon (Ramsey) , Whitney Hunt and Melissa Malo (Russ); and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son-in-law, Craig Johnson and one brother, George “Buddy” Maxwell Eskew.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. May 24 at First Presbyterian Church Greer, conducted by Rev. Will Shelburne. Burial will be private.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Hendrix, John Riddle, Dr. Pete Smith, Jay Crim, Tommy Williams, and Pierce Williams.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. May 24, 2026, in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church Greer.
The family will be at their respective homes.
