Betty Lou Runion Owens, 98, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026.
Born in Greer, South Carolina, Betty was the daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman and Mentie Turner Runion. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Two of her crowning achievements were being a charter member of Lee Road Baptist Church and a wonderful caregiver to her many friends and family members throughout the years. She loved the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves and never missed watching her teams play.
Betty’s legacy of love, faith and dedication lives on through her family. She is survived by her granddaughter, Millason Forrester Dailey (Erik), and her great-granddaughter, Junia.
She is preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters, her husband of sixty-two years, James Henry Owens, and her daughter, Linda Owens Forrester.
