Harold Lemar Pruitt, 78, husband of the late Joyce Pruitt, passed away Nov. 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late A.C. and Nellie Center Pruitt, he was a retired employee of Mitsubishi Polyester Film, attended Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church, was a member of the Tyger Masonic Lodge and the Blue Ridge Men’s Discipleship Group.

Surviving are a daughter, Dedra Hawkins (Keith) of Taylors; a daughter-in-law, Marie Owens of Travelers Rest; a sister, JoAnn O’Shields of Greer; two brothers-in-law, Norman Kemp (Kathy)and Bobby Gilreath; five grandchildren, Robert James Owens, Jr. (Amy), Brooke Banks (Scott), Hunter Wood (Kristen), Brandon Owens, and Jessica Owens; and six great-grandchildren, Shaelyn Thompson, Braylon Wood, Landyn Banks, Ellie Owens, Lyam Banks, and Cohen Wood.

Mr. Pruitt was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Pruitt Owens, a son-in-law, Robert “Gabby” Owens, two sisters, Inez Johnson and Jane Moon, a brother-in-law, Ronald Kemp, and a sister-in-law, Pam Gilreath.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Vince Gainey and Pastor Dewayne Pruitt. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Dedie Hawkins.
