Robert Harold Klinger, 97, husband of 72 years to the late Gene Hall Klinger, passed away October 1, 2026.
A native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, son of the late Harold Edward and Mildred Stroshine Klinger, he was a United States Air Force Veteran, and a retired employee of Bell South after 35 years. For many years he enjoyed gardening, but most of all he loved his family.
Surviving are three children, Debbie Hellams of Louisville, Kentucky, Valerie Rollins (Greg) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Roberta Kott of Cocoa, Florida; a brother, Jimmy Klinger (Pam) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Flatt (Tyler) and Christopher Hellams (Liliya); and five great-grandchildren, Alex Losik, Leah Losik, Nicholas Hellams, Ella Hellams, and Rosie Flatt.
Mr. Klinger was predeceased by three brothers, Harold Klinger, Greg Klinger, and Jerry Klinger and two sisters, Audrey Wagoner and Wanda Lamore.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Josh Martin.
A private burial will be held.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Wood Mortuary.
