Sara Jo Jones Powell, 96, wife of the late Ladson James Powell, passed away October 7, 2026.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late Roland B. and Myrtle Elizabeth Johnson Jones, she was a retired employee of Style Crafters and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Roland Ladson Powell (Deb) and Robert Montgomery Powell (Tammy); three grandchildren, Christine Kellett (Michael), Nikki Steinmeyer (Chris), and Amanda Odom (Adam); and six great-grandchildren, West Kellett, Mattie Kellett, Marian Kellett, Avery Odom, Emery Odom, Grant Steinmeyer.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will follow the service at the gravesite.
The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Amanda Odom.
