Greenville County Schools has announced the ten finalists for the 2026-27 Teacher of the Year award. The finalists were chosen from approximately 6,000 teachers across the district and will be narrowed down to three finalists and the Teacher of the Year through in-person interviews and classroom observations. The finalists represent a range of subjects and schools across the district. The Teacher of the Year will be announced on Aug. 6.

The Golden Strip Career Center of Greenville County Schools has unveiled its newly renovated mechatronics lab, thanks to a $382,000 grant from 3M and a partnership with Heart of America. The lab now boasts new equipment and technology, custom graphics on the walls designed by students, and flexible furniture, as well as improved lighting and repainted walls. The center is designed to give students in the district a space to take classes directly related to a technical field.
