Petty Officer 2nd Class Corisha Drummond, a native of Woodruff, is currently serving aboard the Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Bougainville, a future Navy warship in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Drummond, who joined the Navy 12 years ago, serves as an operations specialist and attributes her success in the Navy to the skills and values she learned back home. The Bougainville, a large-deck assault ship, will have a crew of over 1,200 and can support up to 1,800 troops and their equipment. Drummond takes pride in serving her country and is grateful for the support of her family.
