Blue Ridge High School’s Braylon Edwards is the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by GreerNews.com.

Voting opened Monday and remained open until 5 p.m on Wednesday. Voters were able to cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.

Edwards had three receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 28-6 win over rival Travelers Rest.

Nominees for the week of August 23-29 included Edwards, Terrell Jackson of Greer, Nealy Pretulak of Byrnes, and Corrine Christopher of Riverside.

The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week is a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2026-2027 school year. Athletes from Greer, Byrnes, Riverside, Eastside, Greer Middle College, and Blue Ridge are eligible.
