Eastside High School’s Christian McDowell is the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by GreerNews.com.
Voting opened Monday and remained open until 7 p.m on Wednesday. Voters were able to cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.
McDowell had 86 yards receiving, a receiving TD, and the game-winning interception vs. Riverside.
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week is a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2026-2027 school year. Athletes from Greer, Byrnes, Riverside, Eastside, Greer Middle College, and Blue Ridge are eligible.
