October is always a month jam-packed with events. From festivals held by the town, to local fundraisers, and Halloween activities, there’s always a way to make the most out of the season. Here are five events happening this weekend in Greer and Travelers Rest.

Harvest Market | Thursday, Oct. 16, 5:30-8 p.m.

  • Hop over to Travelers Rest for their fall Harvest Market series. Enjoy a line up of over 30 vendors, food trucks and a live performance by the Brooks Dixon Band. The Travelers Rest farmers market is located at 235 Trailblazer Dr, Travelers Rest.

Beetlejuice Jr. at Greer Children’s Theatre | Friday, Oct. 17, 7 p.m.

  • The Greer Cultural Arts Council’s children's theatre is presenting Beetlejuice Jr. for two weekends in October. This Friday is opening night at the Cannon Centre (204 Cannon St). Check the art council’s website for more information on tickets and showtimes.

The Artisan Makers Market | Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • The City of Greer Parks, Recreation & Tourism department is hosting the Artisan Makers Market this Saturday at Greer City Park (301 E Poinsett St). The event will feature over 60 local vendors, alongside on-site food and music.

Lake Robinson Day | Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Before you make your way over to the Makers Market on Saturday, Greer CPW is hosting Lake Robinson Day, a free, family-friendly event that highlights Greer’s water source. The event includes educational exhibits, kayaking, inflatables, a tree give away and more.

Haunted Car Wash | Oct. 17-18, 6-10 p.m.

  • Whatta Wash Car Wash on South Highway 14 will be hosting a haunted car wash with scare actors. For $30, get their top wash and an evening of frightful fun. According to the business, a portion of each wash is to be given to charity.
