It’s the season of love in Greer, and there are plenty of activities and events to love around town.
From romantic outings to goat tacos, there are many ways to get in the spirit of Valentine’s Day this year. Here is a look at some events happening this February in Greer.
Huckleberry’s Galentines Event | Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m.
Drop by The Huckleberry Boutique (235 B O’Neal Rd.) for a day of shopping and fun. There will be coffee and sweet treats available, plus opportunities to win prizes throughout the day. Also on Saturday, $100 gift cards will be available for only $75 — a perfect gift for that special someone.
Valentine’s Photo Op & Shop | Wednesday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m.
Downtown boutique Berries and Bird (115 School St.) is bringing a photo booth, kids’ crafts, prize giveaways and treats to their Valentine’s event next week. For $50, attendees will receive a $30 store credit and two high-resolution, edited family photos. Photos are by Tiahna Lynn Photography and will be given as digital files. Berries and Bird will be closing the doors to its brick-and-mortar in March, making this event one of the last for the community. Tickets should be purchased in advance online.
Couples & Valentines Cake Decorating Class | Wednesday, Feb. 11, 6:30 p.m.
Grab that special someone for a vintage cake decoration class at White Wine & Butter at Greer Golf (2299 A East Gap Creek Rd.). Hosted by Couture Cakes of Greenville, the class will have charcuterie and a mimosa bar for participants to enjoy. Additional vendors will be on site, and attendees will get to take home the cake they decorate. Tickets should be purchased in advance online. Solo tickets are $85, and couples tickets are $125.
150 Years of Love | Saturday, Feb. 14, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. time slots
The Greer Heritage Museum (106 S Main St.) will be hosting “150 Years of Love,” an educational event that is part of their larger sesquicentennial celebrations. Learn about the history of love and hate in Greer over its 150 years. Tickets are free but should be reserved online at the Greer Heritage Museum’s website.
Greer Farmers Market | Sunday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Greer Farmers Market will host its monthly market on Feb. 15. This month’s theme is “Love is Still in the Air,” with plenty of Valentine’s-themed goodies to be brought by vendors. A live accordion performance by TC Costello will provide some ambiance as you walk through the booths.
Goat Roast & Block Party | Sunday, Feb. 22, 12-4 p.m.
Join The Southern Growl (155 N Buncombe Rd.) for their annual Goat Roast. Tickets are required and include three goat tacos, sides and a pint of bock beer. Adult tickets are $27. Kids tickets are $12 and include one goat taco, a side and a non-alcoholic beverage. Attendees will also get to enjoy live music on the lawn. Tickets should be purchased online.
February Beer Tasting | Wednesday, Feb. 25, 5-8 p.m.
Boutique wine and craft beer store Cin Cin is hosting its first ever beer tasting event at the Historic Greer Depot (300 Randall St., Suite B). The tasting will feature DISSOLVR and Indigo Reef, two locally-based brews. Drop in any time between 5-8 p.m. to give them a taste.
