Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate (BBBSU) recently announced the upcoming Run for Kids’ Sake 5K, taking place on Saturday, September 13 at Conestee Park Preserve in Greenville.
This fun and family-friendly event brings the community together to support life-changing one-to-one mentoring relationships for local youth.
This year’s event will be held in September for the first time, moving away from its traditional spring date in hopes of enjoying more comfortable temperatures and even bigger community turnout. Runners, walkers, families, and corporate teams are encouraged to participate. All proceeds directly benefit BBBSU programs that ignite the power and promise of youth through mentorship.
“We’re thrilled to invite the Upstate to join us for an energizing day of fitness, fun, and community spirit,” said Charlene Cheeks, CEO of BBBSU. “Your participation helps ensure that more children facing adversity can be matched with caring, supportive mentors who help them thrive.”
The day will feature the 5K race, music, interactive vendor booths, family activities, and post-race refreshments. Awards will be given to top finishers in multiple categories.
Registration is now open here. Sponsorship opportunities and volunteer positions are also available.
