GreerNews.com will host their Athlete of the Week contest, presented by D&D Motors, each week during the 2025-2026 school year.
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week nominees will be chosen each week from athletes at Greer High School, Byrnes High School, Blue Ridge High School, Eastside High School, Greer Middle College and Riverside High School.
“We’re so excited to bring the Athlete of the Week award to our local high schools,” said GreerNews.com editor Trey Stewart. “This is a great opportunity to highlight some of our local top-performing athletes, and we’re extremely thankful to D&D Motors for helping us bring this to life.”
Coaches will nominate athletes each week and GreerNews.com will select five athletes for the Athlete of the Week contest. Online voting will open each Monday and will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday. Voters can cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.
The Athlete of the Week will be announced on GreerNews.com each Thursday.
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week will be a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2025-2026 school year.
