The Peace Center will officially open Coach Music Factory on Feb. 7, unleashing a bold new era of live music in downtown Greenville.
The two-story, standing-room-only venue debuts with a sold out opening night performance by G. Love & Special Sauce, followed by The Lone Bellow on March 27 and Grammy-winning bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters, on April 26.
The new venue’s entrance is located on Graham Plaza between the Peace Concert Hall and Gunter Theatre. With a capacity of 1,100, it’s designed for fans who want to be on their feet, close to the stage and fully in the moment.
Originally build in 1857 as a horse-drawn carriage factory and blacksmith shop, the historic structure has been reimagined into a modern music venue. Original brick walls and hardwood floors meet sleek, industrial design, while a retractable glass door behind the stage paints a natural backdrop of the Peace Center campus beyond.
Three full-service bars keep drinks within reach and an outdoor patio balcony behind the stage overlooks the Pavilion outdoor amphitheater, The Wyche, and the Reedy River. The third floor has been repurposed into a unique private event space available for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions.
