One person is dead after a collision at the intersection of W. Wade Hampton Blvd. and Hillcrest Dr., according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s office and the Greer Police Dept. responded in reference to a two-vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle and a car, that occurred shortly after 8pm on Sunday night. According to the coroner's office, the motorcyclist was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased at 9:17pm.
The motorcyclist has been identified by the coroner’s office as James Kelsey Combs, a 33-year-old male of Taylors.
Combs died of blunt force injuries and the manner of death is accident.
An external examination is scheduled to be performed today. This incident is being investigated by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the Greer Police Dept.
