Detpak USA (Detpak), a global packaging supplier supporting quick-service restaurant (QSR), food service, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail customers, recently announced it selects Spartanburg County for its first U.S. manufacturing operation. The company’s multi-million-dollar investment will create over 50 new jobs during its initial phase.

As we continue to grow our global footprint, opening our own manufacturing facility in the United States is a key milestone for our business. It allows us to better support our customers with locally manufactured products and reinforces our commitment to the U.S. market where we have been supplying customers for over 20 years,” Sascha Detmold Cox, CEO of Detmold Group. “We’re focused on building long-term partnerships and delivering the same level of service, innovation and reliability that our customers experience globally. We’re proud to be investing in the Spartanburg community and creating new employment opportunities in South Carolina.”

Formed in 1981, Detpak is a subsidiary of Detmold Group (Detmold), an Australian company that produces premium packaging solutions. Detpak and Detmold have an international footprint; the companies sell into 45 countries and have manufacturing operations in eight. Detmold also has two existing U.S. sales operations in Los Angeles and Tampa, Florida.

Detpak’s new, approximately 175,000 square-foot production facility, located at 2781 New Cut Road in Spartanburg, will support the company’s North American market growth and utilize both imported and locally sourced raw materials from existing suppliers.

Operations are expected to be online in August 2026. Individuals interested in joining the Detpak team should visit the company’s careers page.

“With the addition of over 50 new jobs in Spartanburg County, Detpak’s decision to open its first American manufacturing plant in the Upstate is a win for South Carolina,: Gov. Henry McMaster said. “We are proud to welcome Detpak and look forward to the company’s continued success in our state.”
