Nominations are now being accepted for the upcoming FBI Citizens Academy class at the FBI Columbia Field Office this summer.
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings, beginning Aug.13 – Sept. 24.
The FBI Citizens Academy program gives business, faith, civic and community leaders an inside look at the FBI and fosters a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education.

Those applying for the academy for themselves, or those nominating others must complete the form and submit it according to the following requirements by June 15.
Requirements for selection:
• Must be business, civic, faith, or community leader
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must live or work in South Carolina
• Must pass a limited background assessment (with fingerprinting)
• Non-U.S. citizens may participate in the Citizens Academy program
Selectees will be notified by email June 29. There is no cost to attend the academy.
