The first-ever GreerNews.com Sports Awards will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m at Turner Chapel on the campus of North Greenville University.
The GreerNews.com Sports Awards will be an ESPYs-style red carpet event that will recognize athletes and teams from the 2025-2026 season from Greer High School, Byrnes High School, Riverside High School, Eastside High School, Blue Ridge High School, and Greer Middle College Charter High School.

What awards will be presented?
Player of the year awards for every individual boys and girls sport, along with an overall Male Athlete of the Year, overall Female Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, Performance of the Year, People's Choice Award, Courage Award, Scholar Athlete of the Year, and Service Award will be presented.

Who needs to get tickets?
Nominees will receive invitations this week. Those invitations will serve as the nominees' tickets. Any coaches or teammates of nominees wanting to attend will also get in free. Only parents, other friends, etc. need to purchase tickets.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are $17.85 a piece and can be purchased here.
What is the dress code for the GreerNews.com Sports Awards?
While there is no specific dress code, somewhere in the realm of semi-formal is recommended.
How long will the program run?
The GreerNews.com Sports Awards will begin at 7 p.m. and run until around 8:30-9.
