Domestic violence suspect arrested after barricading himself in Greer home

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, alongside SWAT team members, have taken a man into custody after he barricaded himself inside a Greer home on Wednesday. 

According to the department, officers arrived at 210 W Magill Court in Greer in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant on the man. The warrant is in connection with a domestic violence investigation.

Samuel Victor McElrath, 33, was taken into custody. He will be facing charges connected to a domestic violence incident and also resisting arrest.
