Greer schools announce supply lists, back-to-school events

Back-to-school season is here, and several schools in Greenville County are releasing their supply lists for the 2026-27 school year.

In Greenville County, school starts back on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Here's a look at supply lists and back-to-school events for schools in the Greer area.

Elementary Schools

Chandler Creek Elementary School

Meet the Teacher: Chandler Creek Elementary will host its Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, Aug. 6. The event will run from 4-6:30 p.m.

Crestview Elementary School

Meet the Teacher: Crestview Elementary will host its Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, Aug. 6. The event will run from 4-6:30 p.m.

Skyland Elementary School

Meet the Teacher: Skyland Elementary will host its Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, Aug. 6. The event will run from 4-6 p.m.

Woodland Elementary School

Meet the Teacher: Woodland Elementary’s Meet the Teacher events are broken up by grade level. Here’s a look at the full schedule:

Thursday, Aug. 6, 5-7 p.m.: 5th Grade. Families should plan to stay for the full session.
Friday, Aug. 7: K-4. Drop-in sessions scheduled by appointment.

Middle Schools

Blue Ridge Middle School

Sixth Grade Orientation: Blue Ridge Middle School will host a Tigers in Training information session for parents on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 9-11:30 a.m. This is specifically for families of rising sixth graders to get a tour of the school and meet the teachers.

Greer Middle School

Meet the Teacher: Greer Middle School will host its Meet Your Teachers Night on Thursday, Aug. 6. The event is split into two time slots based on last name. Students with last names beginning in A–L will be from 5-6 p.m., and students with last names beginning in M–Z will be from 6-7 p.m.

Riverside Middle School

Meet the Teacher: Riverside Middle School’s Meet the Teacher Night is an adults-only event for parents to meet their child’s teachers. Here’s a look at the schedule:

Aug 13: 6th Grade | 5:45 p.m.
Aug. 18: 7th Grade | 5:45 p.m.
Aug. 19: 8th Grade | 5:45 p.m.

All grade levels will pick up their class schedules on Friday, Aug. 7. This is a drop-in style event for students and parents with two time slots — 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

High Schools

Many Greenville County high schools do not have a schoolwide supply list, as supply needs may vary by course. Greenville County Schools provides a general list of recommended high school supplies, while individual teachers may share additional requirements once classes begin.

Blue Ridge High School

Back to School Event: Blue Ridge High School will host its Return to the Ridge Rally on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4-7 p.m. This is a drop-in style event for all grade levels to pick up their schedules and prepare for the year.

Greer High School

Back to School Events: Greer High School will host two events on Friday, Aug. 7, for students and their families to meet teachers and learn about the school. Here’s a look at the schedule:

Hive 101: An event for rising ninth graders to meet school staff and learn about Greer High traditions. Held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Aug. 7.
The Hive is Alive: A time for students across all grade levels to meet their teachers and pick up class schedules. Held from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 7.

Riverside High School

Orientation: Riverside High School will host its orientation for all students on Thursday, Aug. 6. Orientation is broken up by grade level. Here’s a look at the schedule:
