Over 80 individuals were arrested over the weekend after a street takeover at the intersection of Locust Hill Road and Fairview Road, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 11:30pm on Saturday night. All were charged with Aiding and Abetting Street Takeover under the Roadway Safety and Protection Act.
The investigation and subsequent apprehensions yielded a total of 80 adults and multiple juveniles arrested, 38 vehicles impounded and 10 firearms seized after investigators discovered numerous illegal activities including burnouts and roadway closures.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
