The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kobe Maleek Bailey, 20, of Taylors, with Kidnapping, Trafficking in Persons, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime on Friday, May 8, 2026.
According to warrants, between March 29, 2026 and April 1, 2026, Bailey allegedly kidnapped the victim under the threat of physical bodily injury during the commission of sex trafficking. He also allegedly recruited the victim for the purpose of sex trafficking and threatened the victim with physical harm with a weapon to force into commercial sex acts where he would monetarily profit.
Bailey was served at the Greenville County Detention Center, where he remains detained on unrelated charges.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
