The Spartanburg County Pet Resource Center (PRC) is partnering with Paws on Wheels, a low-cost mobile veterinary clinic, to host a community vaccine clinic on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 1-3:30 p.m.

The goal of the community clinic is to provide Spartanburg County residents with a convenient and affordable opportunity to access important preventive health services for their pets. Paws on Wheels will bring its mobile clinic to the PRC, located at 1591 Southport Road in Spartanburg, on Saturday for a range of services.

Services available during the clinic will include:

  • Core vaccines

  • Rabies vaccinations

  • Heartworm testing and prevention

  • Flea and tick prevention

  • Microchipping

  • Additional preventive pet health services

The clinic is first-come, first-served, and no appointment is required. Services will be offered at Paws on Wheels' low-cost community rates. Residents are encouraged to arrive early and follow the Spartanburg County Pet Resource Center's social media channels for additional information and updates about the event.

"Preventive care is one of the most effective ways we can help pets remain healthy and with the families who love them," said Kennedi Harris, Communications Relations Manager. "Partnerships like this allow us to bring resources directly into the community, make care more accessible and give pet owners additional tools to care for their animals before a health issue becomes a crisis."
