The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Dudley Paul Bishop in connection with an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. The investigation stems from an incident reported on Aug. 3, 2025.
Bishop is charged with Luring a Child and Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. The charges arise from allegations that Bishop used social media to communicate with a juvenile and attempted to solicit the child for sexual activity.
This incident was reported by the child, who the Sheriff’s Office says immediately told a parent. Bishop was taken into custody and transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center. No further details have been given at this time, and the investigation remains active.
