A new locally-owned cookie shop is expected to open in downtown Greer later this week.
The Corner Cookie will be located at 200 E Poinsett St., directly across from Greer City Park. Opening day will be Thursday, July 23, 2026.
According to shop owners, The Corner Cookie will feature a variety of freshly baked cookies made each day, custom cookie cakes for special occasions, ice cream and old-fashioned candy.
This will be the first time in eight years that the downtown storefront has been open for customers. Before The Corner Cookie occupied the space, it had been owned by Carolina Style Hair Salon for several years. The salon moved to a different location in 2018, and the small downtown space has sat empty since then.
