The Slice 3.0 has officially opened its doors in downtown Greer, bringing its New York-style pizza, pasta and wings to the city’s Main Street.

The Slice is an Upstate-owned restaurant that opened its first location in Simpsonville in 2022. After expanding to Fountain Inn with The Slice 2.0 in 2024, the franchise is now expanding its reach to Greer with The Slice 3.0.

“[We’re] just excited to bring The Slice to the community in Greer so they don’t have to drive as far,” Owner Mike Baldassarra said. “... There’s a lot of people coming [from this] way, and all three of our stores are on Main Street so far, so it’s really great how it worked out.”

The Slice 3.0 had its grand opening on May 28, welcoming the wider community to experience its menu and atmosphere. The restaurant occupies the building across from the Greer Police Department, marking the return of a restaurant to the location for the first time since Sonny’s Grill closed in 2022.

Baldassarra says the new location has a larger kitchen, allowing them to offer more menu options. The Slice 3.0 will have calzones, strombolis and grilled wings in addition to the typical Slice menu. The Greer location will also offer catering.

Moving forward, Baldassarra says that he hopes to provide the Greer community with the same caliber of service they would expect at The Slice’s other locations. He credits the restaurant’s growth to the support of its customers and the communities it serves.

“I just love talking to people, helping the community out, meeting customers and shaking hands,” Baldassarra said. “... come support us, [and] we’ll support y’all.”

The Slice 3.0 is located at 107 S. Main Street, across from the Greer Police Department. For more information or hours of operation, visit https://www.theslicepizzasc.com/
