Candace Kimbrell Johnson, 78, wife of the late Steve L. Johnson, of Greer, South Carolina, passed away August 8, 2026.
A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Leon and Kathleen Brockman Kimbrell, she retired from Sealed Air Cryovac with 40 plus years of service, was a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church, where she and her late husband had enjoyed serving in various capacities for years. Candace was a Godly lady with a strong faith.
Surviving are one son, Vance Bridges (Terry) of Spartanburg; one stepson, Steve Johnson, Jr.; one brother, Dan Kimbrell of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Shelby Bridges and Amber Maddox; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by one sister-in-law, Sherry Kimbrell.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 14 at Abner Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Donald Thomas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Aug. 14 at Abner Creek Baptist Church prior to the service.
