Dennis Moore, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 29, 2026. He was the son of the late John Calvin and Oma Riley Moore. He was the loving husband of Linda Sue Moore.
Dennis was a follower of Jesus who cared deeply about his country and his community. He was passionate about politics and was the founder of the Willow Run Tea Party Caucus. He took pride in his home and had a talent for renovation. Every house he and his family lived in was transformed through his hard work, craftsmanship and attention to detail. He also found joy in gardening and was known for keeping a pristine lawn. Wherever he lived, Dennis found a favorite coffee shop, where he enjoyed good coffee and great company. To many, he was "Uncle Dennis." Whether related by blood or by friendship, countless people benefited from his guidance, encouragement and willingness to help. He generously shared his knowledge, mentored others and left a lasting impression on the lives of those who looked to him for advice and support. Dennis was a faithful member of Westgate Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Danny Moore (Michelle), Heather Moody (Eric), Holly Wilson (Jeff) and Karey Dybowski (Dave); 11 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Dennis is preceded in death by his siblings, Betty, Rick, and Geraldine.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 at Westgate Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, contributions to offset the family expenses would be greatly appreciated. Contributions can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of/dennis-moore/
