Eunice Vivian Kinnunen of Lyman, South Carolina, passed on to Glory on Jan. 3, 2026, at the age of 91.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1934, in Ironwood, Michigan, to the late Ernest and Mayme Hannu. On Dec. 15, 1951, in Ironwood, she married the love of her life, Wayne Kinnunen. They were married for 58 years and were blessed with eleven children.
Eunice is survived by one daughter, Connie Talo (Bruce); five sons, Randy (Dawn), Danny (Irene), Colin (Carolyn), Kevin (Shelley), and Loren (Anja) Kinnunen; one sister, Norma Synkelma; two brothers, Eugene (Judy) and Roderick (Brenda) Hannu; thirty-one grandchildren; ninety-five great-grandchildren; and thirty-eight great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and relatives.
Mrs. Kinnunen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne, 17 years to the day on January 3, 2009; four sons, Gary Wayne, Joey Lee, Ronnie Ray and Jeffrey Scott; one daughter, Kathie Joy Seppala (Ben Seppala); a granddaughter, Jennifer Joy Talo; a great-grandson Cainan Talo; a great-great grandson Rush Seppala; two sisters, Mildred (Wayne) Stenroos and Nancy (Alvar) Helmes; and one brother, Everett (Florence) Hannu.
Funeral services will be held at noon Jan. 13 at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church, Greer, South Carolina, conducted by Pastor Colin Kinnunen and Pastor Dan Hoard.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.
Burial will take place in Ironwood, Michigan in the Spring.
