Jean Loretta Duncan Price, 73, of Taylors, passed away on May 6, 2026.

She was born on July 28, 1952, in Oconee County, South Carolina to the late James Ezekiel and Bobbie Jean Dickson Duncan. She was of the Baptist faith, strong in her faith and convictions of her savior Jesus Christ. Loretta was employed for many years with South Carolina Commission for the Blind and worked as an activity director at Westminster Retirement where her love for the elderly took shape. She enjoyed researching family genealogy and history. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. She always loved to help anyone that needed her.

Loretta is survived by her children, Dawana Emerson (Justin) of Easley and Kyle Price of Taylors; five grandchildren, Eryn Crider (Cody) of Anderson, Brady Price of Taylors, Chandler Staton, Kenley Emerson, and Cole Emerson of Easley. She is also survived by her sisters, Dawn Bowen (Johnny) of Seneca and Rachael English (Dan) of Seneca; nephews, Daniel English of Long Branch, New Jersey, Brandon Duncan (Crystal), Andy Bowen (Ashley), Braden Bowen, Ben Moorehead of Seneca; and nieces, Kelsey Bowen of Seneca and Laura Dawn Burrafato (Aaron) of Cardinal, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Price of Taylors; brother, James Kelvin Duncan of Seneca; and a niece, Avery Bowen of Seneca.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. May 12, at Graceland East Memorial Park conducted by Dr. Keith Kelly.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. May 12 at The Wood Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Daniel English, Brady Price, Justin Emerson, Andy Bowen, Braden Bowen, and Brandon Duncan.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Dawana Emerson, flowers accepted.
