Valerie Louise Degree, 63, of 100 Huntington Square Drive, Gaffney, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Valerie was born on Jan. 14, 1963, in Cherokee County, South Carolina, to the late Billy Degree and Hilda Mae Wilson Degree. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Farris Degree, of Gaffney; her daughters, Raven Degree and Courtney Sarratt (Kendrick), both of Gaffney; Amber Degree of Blacksburg, SC, Kayle Degree and Hillary Degree, both of Gaffney; and her 21 grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, Billy Degree (Karen), Bruce Degree (Zina), of Absecon, NJ, Jeffrey Degree, of Columbia, SC, Corey Degree (Stacy) of Shelby, NC, Carpenter Degree of Fayetteville, NC; her sister, Charlotte Misher (Eric) of Hope Mills, NC.
