Virginia Mullinax Fillers, 89, passed away peacefully and went to her heavenly home on May 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Greer, South Carolina, she was a devoted and faithful lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Greer, South Carolina and a very active member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. Jenny worked in insurance for many years and retired from State Auto Insurance Company, Greer, South Carolina.
She had a way of making every person feel valued and beautiful. Her gentle spirit, kindness and strength and her steadfast faith and trust in the Lord certainly defined her life and touched many hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Carl Fillers; her loving children, one daughter, Terry Perry of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Chris (Sandy) Fillers of Surfside Beach, South Carolina. Jenny is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily Perry and Ben Perry of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jennifer Fillers of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; one step-grandson, Priest (Lily) Perry of Augusta Georgia; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is survived by one brother, Junior (Imogene) Mullinax of Greer, South Carolina; two sisters; Rita Elder and Linda (Richard) Bailey of Greer, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy D. and Grace Waddell Mullinax and one sister, Judy M. Ingle.
A celebration of life cryptside service will be held at 2 p.m. May 21 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 14050 E. Wade Hampton Blvd. Greer, South Carolina, conducted by Rev. Todd Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1002 S. Buncombe Road, Greer, South Carolina 29651.
