Greenville County Schools renamed its security center in honor of fallen officer, Sgt. William Conley Jumper, Jr. Jumper died five years ago on Oct. 20, 2020, while conducting a traffic stop. He served in the Sheriff's Office for 28 years, including 10 years in the School Enforcement Division.
The 14th Annual Upstate S.C. Law Enforcement Memorial Softball Tournament will be held on Aug. 23 at Century Park in Greer. The event, hosted by the Greer Police Department and Gallagher's Heroes Fallen Officer Fund, aims to raise support for the families of fallen officers in the Upstate. The event is free and open to the public.
