14-year-old McKenzie Silvers has turned her passion for art into a full-fledged business, selling spirit rock paintings, jewelry and other art pieces. Silvers has been creating things since childhood and currently takes honors art at Florence Chapel Middle School. With the support of her family and teachers, Silvers plans to continue to grow her business and gain practical skills for her future career.

Moonlight Movies, a summer event series in Greer, is coming to a close with the screening of Sonic 3 at Greer City Park this Thursday. The event, which has been running for 17 years, offers free movies and pre-show activities for families to enjoy. This year's series included an upgrade to an LED film screen, allowing movies to start earlier in the evening. The event is set to return next summer.
