Moonlight Movies is coming out with some weeknight fun for its last program of the season this Thursday. This week’s film will be "Sonic 3."
Moonlight Movies is a summer event series that has been active in Greer for 17 years. Community members can come out to Greer City Park and enjoy a free movie with a variety of pre-show activities, including face painting, raffles and inflatables.
“We’ve received a lot of positive feedback about both the movie selections and the overall experience,” said Emma Mann, Events Coordinator for the city. “It’s clear that the people of Greer really value having a fun, family-friendly event to look forward to during the summer months.”
This year’s series came with some upgrades, including an LED film screen. This new screen allowed the city to start the movies earlier in the evening, which was helpful for families with young kids, Mann said.
Following the conclusion of the series this week, Moonlight Movies is set to make its comeback next summer. Read more about the City of Greer’s seasonal events here.
Catch the last event of Moonlight Movies by watching "Sonic 3" at Greer City Park this Thursday, Aug. 7. The movie will start at 7 p.m., with pre-show crafts and activities starting at 6 p.m.
