Spartanburg County is hosting the Hard Hats for Hounds competition, where nine teams of local students will partner with construction companies to design and build custom dog houses. The competition aims to raise funds for the new Spartanburg County Pet Resource Center and Build for a Better Future Foundation. The event offers significant prizes, including $7,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place, and $1,000 for third place. The public can view and vote for the completed dog houses from April 25 to May 1, and the dog houses will be sold via online auction from May 2-5.
