Andrew Paul Varnadore, 46, of Greer, South Carolina, has been arrested on 14 charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors. Varnadore allegedly distributed files of child sexual abuse material, which were discovered through CyberTipline reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison. The case was investigated by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office. Varnadore is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Adam Thomas Kirwan, 28, of Greer, South Carolina, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment. Jacob Lance, an inmate at the South Carolina Department of Corrections, and Abbygale El-Dier have been sentenced to 43 and 50 years respectively for committing criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The pair used contraband cell phones to sexually assault a three-year-old minor victim, and shared the acts with each other in real time. The case was part of "Operation Clean Sweep," an investigation into the Lee Correctional Institution, which also involved allegations of public corruption.
